The latest data on rental vacancies (a component of the index of leading economic indicators) from the U.S. Census Bureau helps paint a grim statistical picture of the current economic climate. Nationally in the fourth quarter of 2008, rental vacancy rates remained quite elevated at 10.1%.
We've filtered through the data on the 75 largest metropolitan areas, to find those that are being hit the hardest by rental vacancies. Is your metro area on the list?
