Recently, Insurance.com conducted an analysis of the occupations that carry the highest percentage of individuals who claim an accident when searching for auto insurance. The rankings are based on the information people must supply in seeking an insurance quote.

Sam Belden, Insurance.com's Vice President, explained the results in a statement: “Professions that demand multi-tasking – being on the phone, moving fast on a tight schedule – are prone to more distractions and, from there, more accidents,” also pointing out that the lowest-incident drivers - like athletes and homemakers - tend to not be on the road during rush hour.
