Stolen in 1990 from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. This painting and all those included here are among the world’s most valuable missing or stolen paintings, listed by The Art Loss Register.

Vermeer, "The Concert"

This painting, among others, was stolen from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston in 1990.  The museum was robbed by two unknown men.

Leonardo Da Vinci, "Madonna of the Yarnwinder"

The painting was stolen in 2003 by two men posing as tourists at Drumlanrig Castle, Scotland. It's considered to be one of Da Vinci's masterpieces. (Est. Value: $65 million)

Van Gogh, "View of the Sea at Scheveningen"

It took two thieves just minutes to steal this painting and one other during a break-in at the Vincent Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam in 2002. The men were caught and convicted, but the paintings were not recovered. (Combined Est. Value: $30 million)

Van Gogh, "Congregation Leaving the Reformed Church in Nuenen"

The second painting stolen from the Vincent Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam in 2002. The thieves were convicted, but the paintings were never recovered. (Combined Est. Value: $30 million)

Cezanne, "View of Auvers-sur-Oise"

The painting was stolen under the cover of the fireworks celebration for the new millennium on December 31, 1999 from the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, England. (Est. Value: $6 million)
