You don't have to be a driller, or manage big machinery to earn money off the shale oil boom.

Savvy entrepreneur Amy Savage moved to Pennsylvania to chase the Marcellus shale boom, CNNMoney.com reports.

A Michigan native, Savage headed for the shale region and opened her small oilfield business, Oil and Gas Safety Supply in Washington, Pa., in April 2012. She has sold more than $3 million in hard hats, fireproof clothing and related equipment.
