After the increasingly popular "Hidden Cash" scavenger hunt caused a frenzy in Burbank, California, Thursday night, the individual behind it could be taking a temporary break.
Thursday night saw "crowds rushing bus stops and grassy knolls to find an envelope full of cash and creating what police describe as a traffic nightmare," NBC Los Angeles reports. Soon after, the @HiddenCash Twitter account linked to a message outlining the social experiment's mission, and indicating that the next scavenger hunt might be a few weeks away.
"We will take time in the next several weeks to figure out how to best move forward in a way that keeps @hiddencash fun and safe," @HiddenCash wrote in the post. Still, the message admits that "we would like to keep this movement going."
