After-hours buzz: SNX, ARII, CPK & more

Check out which companies are making headlines after the bell Wednesday:

Synnex - The Fremont, California-based company reported better-than-expected results for the fiscal second quarter as growth in its technology solutions segment picked up during the quarter. Shares dropped in extended-hours trading.

Chesapeake Utilities - Shares of the energy provider edged higher in after-hours trading after the company announced that its board of directors approved a three-for-two stock split of its outstanding common stock. The firm said the split will be effected In the form of a stake dividend.

QLogic - The maker of telecommunications equipment said it named Tony Carrozza senior vice president of worldwide sales. Shares were unchanged in after-hours trading.

Great Lakes - The construction firm said it was awarded three contracts valued at $59.5 million.

American Railcar Industries - Shares were little changed after Dow Jones reported that billionaire investor Carl Icahn had resigned from the firm's board of directors.
