World's tallest roller coaster: 500-foot drop

Have you ever dreamed of riding a 500 foot tall roller coaster? If so, soon you will be able to experience just that at an Orlando-based entertainment complex.

Skyscraper will soon be the world's tallest roller coaster. According to the Orlando Sentinel the coaster will, "tumble, twist, loop and dive from more than 500 feet above International Drive when it opens in 2017."

The massive roller coaster will be built as a part of the new 495,000 square-foot Skyplex—an entertainment complex that will include rock climbing, retail, bars and restaurants. The developers of the project plan to break ground in 2015.
