Which geopolitical risk do investors fear the most?

The rise of the Islamic state, ongoing tensions between Ukraine and Russia and simmering territorial disputes between China and its neighbors are just a handful of geopolitical concerns that have been causing alarm among investors.

In January, the World Economic Forum named international conflict as the biggest risk for the global economy. In March, a joint statement by the heads of the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, World Trade Organization and Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development warned of the "significant burden" on economic development as a result of geopolitical tensions.
