The Grateful Dead will offer their final concerts via streaming and Pay-Per-View, in a package that could be one of the largest music events ever, Rolling Stone reported on Wednesday.

The band's remaining members will play two shows in Santa Clara, Calif. in late June and three shows in Chicago over the July 4th weekend.

The California shows will be streamed online, while the Chicago shows will offer online streaming as well as cable and satellite packages and movie theater showings. The band's website is offering a package deal with all five nights' worth of shows streaming $79.95, the magazine reported.

CNBC reporter Steve Liesman will host the shows along side sports broadcaster and noted "Deadhead" Bill Walton, the report added.
