European Parliament president: Need to urgently discuss humanitarian aid for Greece

European Parliament President Martin Schulz addressed the results of the Greek referendum on Sunday evening.

He said Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis's promises that banks would re-open in a day or two "very difficult and dangerous" and said Europe needed to urgently discuss humanitarian aid for Greece.

Greeks voted decisively in favor of the "no" option—asking their government to turn down a proposal from its creditors that would have included more austerity reforms.
