Jay Leno's Garage: "Competitive Nature" Gallery

Jay cruises around town in an old-school motorcycle that's almost one hundred years old! It was a hit… until the next best thing came around and put the Columbia Pope out of business.

He shows us the car that ultimately destroyed sales of the Columbia Pope. The first car ever: The Model T. The Model T fit more for men who needed to think about family and other passengers other than just themselves.

Jay travels to Sonoma Raceway to meet up with Chris and Thomas. These two are responsible for the next step in the evolution of cars; autonomous driving, or the car driving itself.

Jay steps into one of the Audis that can drive themselves. He's amazed by the little attention needed for it to actually work. It does as it claims and just "drives itself." The car, named "Robby," clocked in a time on the track of 2:02.

It's Jay's turn. He steps inside another Audi RS 7, but this time he's the one who is in control. He wants to set out and prove that machine is not always better than human.

Jay did it, but just barely! He managed to beat the autonomous car by a fraction of a second!

He's happy that he beat "Robby!" But Jay admits that he may not be able to drive another round like Robby can, he's worn out!

After his time at the Sonoma Raceway, Jay meets up with Ford enthusiast A.J. Baime. His book, Go Like Hell, is about the '67 Ford Gt MK III; a car that symbolizes the rivalry between Ford and Ferarri.

Thanks to the Peterson Automotive Museum, Jay gets the opportunity to drive this famous car. Both he and Baime notice the extremely hot temperature inside, even noting that the hot air coming in from outside feels like air-conditioning. Leno is on his way to show Baime the new GT.

The two finally get to see it: the 2016 GT. It's predecessor has won four championships against a lot of highline cars, one of which being Ferrari. Therefore, the namesake of the car carries a lot of weight.

It's time to "Assess and Caress" with Donald Osborne. Three classic cars that they're looking at today are the 1955 Ford Thunderbird, the 1958 MGA, and the 1956 Chevrolet Corvette. Let's see which one has the biggest potential…

Although the facts show the '55 Thunderbird of having the most appreciation of value, both Osborne and Leno agree that the Corvette will have a bigger increase in appreciation value in the next five years, so they both choose the 'Vette!
