"My name is Bruce Schindler ... and I chase mammoths."
Business: Schindler Carvings
Bruce Schindler is an outdoorsman who moved to Alaska and fell in love with the art of fossilized tusk carving. What started as just a hobby, turned into a million-dollar, blue-collar career. After Bruce made crucial contacts in the gold mining field, he was able acquire ancient ivory mammoth tusks. Because most modern ivory is banned, Bruce's excavations provide legitimate ivory to other artists, collectors and museums. This modern-day excavator has made a lofty living out of ancient history and it takes days and weeks trekking through the treacherous Canadian Yukon, and digging through centuries of slate, to find his "fossilized gold."
