Diane E. Alfano
Diane Alfano is chairman of Institutional Investor, a member of the Board of Directors of its parent company, Euromoney Institutional Investor. Institutional Investor is a premier media company covering the financial services and asset management industries. The firm has more than 20 print and digital publications including Institutional Investor, Alpha, The Journal of Portfolio Management and Money Management Intelligence, as well asdatabases and research and online services.
Alfano directly oversees Institutional Investors' Conference Division which has more than 100 employees and primary offices in New York, London, Hong Kong, Santa Monica, and Melbourne. The division's 15 private institutes and Forums business together produce more than 100 exclusive roundtables each year for senior executives from major financial and asset management firms as well as the most important asset owners globally such as sovereign wealth funds, corporate and public pension plans, and endowments and foundations. Alfano also manages TTI Vanguard, a membership group for senior technologists, as well as the Centre for Investor Education (CIE), which provides more than a dozen seminars and training modules each year for senior investment executives in Australia, including the CIOs and CEOs of the largest superannuation funds. In addition, she oversees the Investor Intelligence Network (IIN), a private online community serving more than 3000 of the world's largest asset owners from more than 95 countries, as well as its companion community, the Manager Intelligence Network (MIN). Alfano began her career at Institutional Investor in 1984. She received a BA in French and Political Science from Tufts University in Boston and continued her studies in Paris at La Sorbonne and the Institut d'Etudes des Sciences Politiques.
