Wee has a specialty in long-form, cross-platform storytelling. She earned a NY State Society of CPAs Excellence in Financial Journalism award for "China is changing your dinner plate" that showed how China's rising middle class is transforming U.S. agriculture and water consumption. She received a Society of American Business Editors and Writers (SABEW) Best in Business award for "Millennials shaking North Korea's regime." The multimedia package featured North Korean millennials affecting change through market forces and technology, smuggled from China.
She was a documentary media student at The New School, USC Knight Digital Media Center fellow and graduate of the Asian American Journalists Association's Executive Leadership Program. She previously worked for Yahoo!, Bloomberg and Businessweek.com as a reporter and multimedia producer.
