    NEW YORK-- Wendy's pigtails are getting a tweak. In an interview with The Associated Press, CEO Emil Brolick said the current logo had served the company well for the past three decades, but that it was time for an update. It's only the fifth logo update since founder Dave Thomas opened the first Wendy's in 1969, and perhaps the most significant.

    NEW YORK-- The NHL and the players' association resumed meetings Thursday to try to end the monthlong lockout. Although it has been a week since the NHL called off the first two weeks of the regular season, that sting will be felt full force Thursday when what should have been opening day passes without a puck hitting the ice.

    FORT WORTH, Texas-- American Airlines says it will cut passenger-carrying capacity by 1 percent in the first half of November as it tries to recover from widespread delays and a spike in cancelations. American said Thursday that the pullback will give it more time to return to normal operations without affecting holiday travel.

    Shares in Indonesian shipping firm PT Pelayaran Nelly Dwi Putri Tbk gained as much as 45.8 percent after its trading debut on Thursday. Pelayaran Nelly was the seventeenth company to list on the Indonesian stock exchange this year. Its IPO, which aimed to raise 58.5 billion rupiah, was priced at 168 rupiah a share.
