Comcast CEO expresses condolences to Krim family

NEW YORK -- The CEO of Comcast, the country's largest cable company, has expressed his condolences to the family of employee Kevin Krim, after two of his children were stabbed to death Thursday.

On a Friday conference call about Comcast's quarterly finances, CEO Brian Roberts said the company "will do everything we can to support the family in their awful time."

The children's nanny was found bleeding beside the children in their Manhattan home, apparently of self-inflicted injuries, and is a suspect.

Krim is an executive with cable news channel CNBC, which Philadelphia-based Comcast controls through NBCUniversal.

"I just want to say on behalf of all of us at CNBC and Comcast and NBCUniversal and many others around the nation how touched and saddened we are by this unspeakable act," Roberts said.
