    Henri de Castries, chairman and CEO of AXA, Europe's No.2 insurer, told CNBC, "We think this is a solid set of earnings because in an environment which is much more difficult then what it was last year our revenues are growing and our earnings, if you leave aside exceptionals, are stable. Earnings are progressing in three quarters of our activities and stable in the rest."
