CONCORD, N.H. -- New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch plans to nominate State Parks Director Phil Bryce to serve as interim commissioner of the Department of Resources and Economic Development.

George Bald, the current commissioner of that department, is retiring on Nov. 1.

Lynch plans to nominate Bryce to take over when he meets with the Executive Council on Tuesday.

If Bryce's nomination is approved, he would serve until a new commissioner is sworn-in.
