Taiwan stocks slip, PC makers drag after HP warning

TAIPEI, Oct 4 (Reuters) - Taiwan stocks dipped soon after opening flat on Thursday, with computer shares

among the top losers, down 1.26 percent after Hewlett-Packard Co

warned of an unexpectedly steep earnings slide in 2013.

By 0105 GMT, the main TAIEX index

had fallen 0.26 percent to 7,664.60 points, after ending down 0.44 percent in the previous session.

Electronics shares fell 0.22. HP's contract makers Quanta and Compal shed 3.35 percent and 4.01 percent respectively. Financial shares were flat.
