Philippine c.bank says peso remains competitive
MANILA, Oct 5 (Reuters) - The Philippine peso remains competitive and the currency's strength against the U.S. dollar is due to the country's strong economic fundamentals, Governor Amando Tetangco said on Friday.
The peso is the best performing currency among emerging Asian economies this year, with gains of nearly 6 percent against the dollar.
