TABLE-German Aug ind. orders drop more than forecast

BERLIN, Oct 5 (Reuters) - The Economy Ministry reported the following economic indicator on Friday:

GERMAN INDUSTRY ORDERS Aug 12 July 12 Month-on-month change -1.3 +0.3 Year-on-year -4.8 -1.9 Index (base 2005) 108.8 110.2

NOTES - 1) Consensus month-on-month forecast -0.5 percent. Forecast range between -2.5 percent and +1.8 percent in Reuters poll of 35 economists

2) Figures seasonally adjusted, provisional and expressed in volume terms. Percentage change unless stated.

3) The July figure was initially reported at +0.5 percent.
