At a Glance: Weekly change in state gas prices

Gasoline prices remain stubbornly high across the U.S. The national average for a gallon of gas was $3.818 Monday, according to AAA. That's the highest ever for this time of year.
Pump prices typically fall in October. But while prices fell in 30 states compared with a week ago, they rose in 16 others. The most notable increase was in California. The average price there increased 50 cents from last Monday.
