BRATISLAVA, Oct 9 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press reports and events to watch which may affect Slovak financial markets on Tuesday.

FOREIGN TRADE

The country's statistics office will publish August foreign trade balance data, 0700 GMT. Analysts expected a 351.2 million euro surplus.

INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT

The country's statistics office will publish August industrial output data, 0700 GMT. Analysts expected a 13.5 percent rise, following a preliminary 18.5 percent increase in July.

KBC EYES PROFIT BOOST FROM LEANER STRUCTURE

Belgian banking group KBC KBC.BR said on Monday that concentrating on core markets of Belgium and eastern Europe should increase its profitability after it has weaned itself off most state aid.

UNICREDIT SLOVAKIA Italian bank UniCredit

, set to lay off 6,150 jobs in Europe, could be transform its Slovak unit into a branch of a foreign bank and manage Slovak operations from the neighbouring Czech republic as soon as 2014, five sources told Slovak daily Sme. The bank declined to comment.
