RI gas prices drop 2 cents

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Gasoline prices in Rhode Island have dropped by two cents in the past week.

AAA Southern New England said Monday that the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $3.94.

Costs for fuel in Rhode Island have dropped four cents in the past month. The local price is 16 cents higher than the national average of $3.78 a gallon.

A year ago, gas cost $3.55 a gallon in Rhode Island.
