OVERALL GRADE: B

Looking back on my 2012 predictions, I had more hits than misses.

As I predicted, auto sales steadily edged higher, while Jeep posted a huge year on the strength of new models. And yes, in 2012 Tesla did come of age. It not only met goals (to the surprise of skeptics) on the roll out of the Model S and the opening of dealerships, But Tesla also ended 2012 convincing many it can become a mass market automaker.
