American Airlines took delivery of its first Boeing 777-300ER aircraft Tuesday, sporting an on-board bar, fully lie-flat seats in first- and business-class, international Wi-Fi and other passenger enhancements. (Read more: American Announces New Aircraft Routes, Cabin Upgrades)
American is the first U.S. airline to order and take delivery of the stretched "extended range" version of the popular Boeing 777 aircraft. It will begin service January 31 from Dallas-Fort Worth to Sao Paulo, Brazil. American ordered a total of 10 of the new aircraft.
Early in 2013, the airline will expand service with the aircraft from both Dallas and New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport to London Heathrow.
