What Apple TV Will Do to Stock: Munster
Clues as to what Apple's addition of a television product might look like are out there, as well as its effect on the company's shares, Piper Jaffray's Gene Munster says.

Clues abound as to what Apple's television product might look like, as well as what effect it'll have on the company's shares, Piper Jaffray's Gene Munster said Wednesday on CNBC.

Although Apple has yet to announce plans for a television, on "Fast Money," Munster said that it would likely be a standalone, flat-screen between 43 and 55 inches and be released in November 2013.

Munster also said that a survey Jaffray conducted over the summer asked 400 people if they would buy an Apple TV. Half of them said they would.

"None of them talked about the content. They talked about some of their frustrations with the remote control and user interface, and those who do have an Internet-connected TV really don't use it," he said.

While content has been a big factor in the competition between Netflix, Amazon.com and Coinstar's RedBox, it wasn't a make-or-break consideration with the as-yet unrealized Apple TV.

Munster said that he didn't think a TV from Apple would cannibalize any of their other business.

While an Apple TV is speculative at this point and Munster hasn't included it in forecasts yet, a pure hardware product could account for a 10 percent share of the internet-enabled television – adding an estimated 6 percent to 2014 revenues.
