UPDATE 2-Storms knock out power for 350,000 in US Midwest/Gulf
Dec 20 (Reuters) - A series of snow and rain storms knocked out power for over 350,000 customers in the U.S. Midwest and Gulf Coast, power companies said on Thursday. The storms have also caused tornadoes in the Mobile, Alabama area, according to weather forecaster AccuWeather.com. Some of the utilities said they were still assessing the damage as storms were continuing in some parts of the region, and there unable to say at this time when power would be restored for all.
