Congress Reaches a Deal to Avert 'Fiscal Cliff': White House Source

The White House and Senate have agreed on a deal to avert the "fiscal cliff," when tax increases and spending cuts were supposed to kick in, a White House source said. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi have signed off on the deal, the source said. The House meets on New Year's Day.
