Less than 30 Britons at risk in Algeria- British PM Cameron
LONDON, Jan 18 (Reuters) - Fewer than 30 Britons are at risk in Algeria after a hostage attack by Islamist militants on a desert gas complex and the subsequent rescue attempt by Algerian government forces, British Prime Minister David Cameron said on Friday.
Cameron was speaking to parliament after postponing a speech he was due to make in the Netherlands on Friday about Britain's relationship with the European Union.
He said the attack appeared to be a large, well coordinated, heavily armed assault, and that the situation was "ongoing".
