Homes of Celebrity Couples

Trulia

It's that time of year again for ubiquitous red and pink and jewelry ads and chocolate and roses and other obligatory displays of romantic love. In that spirit, we present CNBC.com's third- annual Homes of Celebrity Couples collection.

This time, we have houses from one power couple who made a previous list with their Florida home. Now, it's an over-the-top mansion they used as a vacation rental. At least two of the following homes belonged to other famous people before these couples moved in, and at least three have also played couples on screen. Click ahead to see the houses, which range from a young couple's $2.5 million "starter" to a $43.5 million mega mansion.

Emma Stone, star of "The Help," and her gentleman friend and co-star from "The Amazing Spider-Man," Andrew Garfield, are cohabitating in this private gated home in Beverly Hills, which they picked up for $2.5 million. It was the former home of late comic actor Dudley Moore.

It has loads of light from old-fashioned looking multi-paned windows, especially in the double-height living room, and there's a patio terrace area with swimming pool.

Location: Los Angeles
Price: $3 million

Bathrooms: NA
Square Footage: 9,000

Jason Bateman, star of the cult television hit "Arrested Development" and comic film roles such as "Horrible Bosses," and wife Amanda Anka, who was in "Lost Highway" and is the daughter of Paul Anka, recently bought this country-English-style compound formerly belonging to the late actor Ernest Borgnine.

Borgnine made the compound his personal HQ for six decades until his death last year. Some of the interiors are dated, particularly the lattice-crazed master bath and dressing area, but the house is still a beauty with mountain and city views.

The Sandcastle served as a summer rental for the first lady and gentleman of pop, hip-hop and the Brooklyn Nets. They are reported to have paid $400,000 to rent the place for August 2011.

The mega mansion, built by Hamptons developer Joe Farrell on 11.5 acres, has a lot going on, including a heated granite pool with an underwater stereo and a master suite with 2,800 square feet. The lowest of the three-level home is the Air Lounge, with a futuristic two-lane bowling alley, full bar and disco, rock climbing wall and full spa. The "recreation pavilion" also features a skateboarder's half pipe.

The hostess of "Live! With Kelly and Michael" and her former "All My Children" on-and-off-screen love Mark Consuelos have put their two-story SoHo penthouse loft on the market for $24.5 million. If they get that much, it'll be quite a coup, as they bought it for $9.1 million in 2005.

The duplex has luxury features like a Balinese wall, two dishwashers, gym and 3,000 square feet of Zen-styled roof deck with hot tub, outdoor kitchen and a semi-private trellis-shaded area.

Paul Hogan, the Aussie actor permanently synonymous with his 1980s role of "Crocodile Dundee" and wife/co-star Linda Kozlowski are making a move to flip this house. They put their newly renovated Malibu home on the market after buying in July for $3.8 million. And just about a year ago they listed another Malibu retreat for $6.4 million.

The more recent home features ocean views, a master suite with his and hers walk-in closets, offices, en-suite bedrooms, a separate guest house and a three car garage.

Location: Malibu, Calif.
Value: $9.95 million
Bedrooms: 4
Bathrooms: 5
Square Footage: 4,300

Long-term lovebird actors Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have previously offered their Balinese-styled getaway home on celebrity-studded Broad Beach for rent in the summers for $95,000 a month, and later in 2010 offered it for sale for $14.75 million or for rent at a reduced rental price of $80,000. Last fall brought another price cut to $9.95 million. It is no longer on the market and no record of sale is available.

The home includes three suites (the master bath has a Chinese onyx spa-inspired bath), a media room, a designer kitchen, plus a guest house with meditation or guest room and a workout room.

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne

Location: Hidden Hills, Calif.
Price: $12,999,000
Bedrooms: 6
Bathrooms: 10
Square Footage: 11,000

Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne and his television personality wife, Sharon, were trying to sell this property before offering it as a rental for $50,000. The mansion in the celebrity-packed gated community of Hidden Hills was featured in Architectural Digest and has interior decoration by the designer Martyn Lawrence-Bullard. The home has Travertine flooring (limestone formed by mineral springs), a guest apartment and a formal dining room where the buyers can feast on whatever winged beasts they fancy, whether it's turkey, chicken, dove or bat. An outdoor terrace area features a pool and spa, barbecue island, commode and outdoor shower.

The Osbournes have been active in the real estate in recent years, with a beach house on the market just about 15 miles away in Malibu, which sold last spring. The couple's pink former Beverly Hills home, familiar to viewers of their reality TV series, has been on the market for years.
