William W. Snyder, Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Bill Snyder is an executive vice president and the chief financial officer for Enterprise Holdings and its Alamo Rent A Car, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and National Car Rental operations. In this role, Snyder has overall responsibility for the internal and external reporting, information technology, tax, treasury, retirement plan administration and forecasting functions of the Enterprise Holdings network of nearly 8,000 neighborhood and airport car rental locations and 75,000 employees worldwide.

Snyder is an officer and board member of Enterprise Fleet Management, an affiliated leasing and transportation services company. He is also a member of the board of directors of Enterprise's parent company, The Crawford Group.

Snyder began his career with Enterprise in 1984 as a corporate controller responsible for the corporate accounting function and the development of controllers for the company's subsidiaries. In 1989, he was promoted to assistant vice president and later to vice president. In 1994, Snyder was named vice president of Fleet Administration in Enterprise's Fleet Services division (now Enterprise Fleet Management). During his time with Fleet Services, Snyder was instrumental in developing the division's current business plan, which focuses on providing fleet management services to companies with small- to mid-sized fleets.

In 1995, Snyder was named Enterprise's vice president of information technology and was named senior vice president and chief information officer in 1998. While he was head of IT, Enterprise Rent-A-Car's technology capabilities grew from approximately 500 to more than 1,200 IT professionals. The company's technological systems and infrastructure were completely updated and modernized; and the company won many national awards for technological excellence, including the CIO magazine Enterprise Value Award in 2002.

In 2002, Snyder was named chief financial officer, and in 2003 executive vice president was added to his title.

Snyder is involved with a number of charitable organizations, including Churchill Center and School and Webster University, both in St. Louis.

Snyder has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in accountancy from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and he is a certified public accountant. Prior to joining Enterprise, he worked in public accounting for more than seven years, primarily with Deloitte & Touche.
