David C. Villa

David C. Villa is chief investment officer and chairman of the investment committee for the State of Wisconsin Investment Board (SWIB), which manages assets in excess of $98 billion, half of them internally. Villa is responsible for implementing the investment policy and developing the architecture of the overall investment program.

Villa joined SWIB in June 2006 after serving for two and a half years as the chief investment officer for Florida's State Board of Administration and 12 years with UBS Global Asset Management (previously Brinson Partners).

He is a board member and the treasurer of the Marguerite Casey Foundation and a member of the board of Madison College Foundation and the advisory board of the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center. Villa received a B.A. from Princeton University, an M.A. from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University. He is a chartered financial analyst and a certified public accountant.
