Dollar Lifts, Aussie Jumps, Yen Dips

With robust economic reports boosting hopes for U.S. economic recovery, the dollar index traded near a seven-month high. [CNBC]

A startlingly strong employment report reduceed expectations of an interest rate cut and sent the Australian dollar shooting higher. [CNBC]

Euro zone employment fell 0.3 percent in the fourth quarter of 2012, with job losses greatest in Spain, and the euro slipped. [Reuters]

Japan's lower house of Parliament approved the stimulus-minded Bank of Japan nominees, and the yen slipped. [Reuters]

After the Swiss National Bank warned about risks to the economy and said it would take more easing steps if necessary, the Swiss franc fell. [Reuters]

The South African rand hit another four-year low as the investors nervously awaited new manufacturing data. [CNBC]
