Take a look at some of Thursday's midday movers:

The S&P 500 moved above its October 9, 2007 record closing high of 1,565.15 early in the session. The best performing stocks in that index this year include Netflix, up over 100-percent year to date, Best Buy and Hewlett-Packard.

Biogen Idec was the best performing stock on the S&P 500. Several analysts raised price targets on the global biotechnology company after it received FDA approval for a new multiple sclerosis treatment.

The best-performing S&P sector was utilities, with Oneok the top stock.

Five Below traded lower after the retailer forecast first-quarter and full-year earnings below consensus estimates.

Gamestop also warned that fiscal-year earnings will be below consensus as demand slows ahead of its next-generation videogame console launch.

Chicago Bridge & Iron updated its forecast saying that projects awarded in 2013 will outpace revenues projections of $10.7 to $11.2 billion for this year. Shares of the energy infrastructure firm traded up to its 52-week high.
