36 jobs leaving with DRS Technologies near Buffalo
CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. -- Thirty-six people will lose their jobs when DRS Technologies closes its Buffalo-area location over the summer.
The Arlington, Va.-headquartered company filed a notice with the New York Labor Department Thursday saying the layoffs will occur between the end of June and Sept. 30, when the Cheektowaga office will close.
The defense electronics business announced the closing in January but provided no details about how many people would be affected. A spokeswoman said at the time that some employees would be offered the chance to relocate to other DRS sites.
