March Auto Sales: Chrysler Group LLC

Chrysler Group LLC said Tuesday that its March U.S. sales rose 5 percent, led by the Ram pickup and Dodge and Chrysler midsize cars.
BY THE NUMBERS: The Auburn Hills, Mich., automaker said it sold 171,606 cars and trucks last month, up from 163,381 a year earlier.
TOP SELLERS: Ram pickup, which was up 25 percent to 33,831. Chrysler 200 midsize car, up 11 percent to 16,593. Dodge Avenger midsize car, up 33 percent to 12,439.
HOT MODELS: Dodge Challenger muscle car with sales up 42 percent to 6,132. Jeep Compass small SUV sales were up 28 percent to 5,111.
