Twitter Opens Ad Sales to Everyone
Twitter will now enable all companies and all users in the U.S. to buy ads on its platform, Kevin Weil, senior director for Twitter's revenue, announced at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference in New York on Tuesday.
"Today, Twitter Ads are open to everyone. Every business, every brand, every user," Weil said.
Previously, Twitter's ad platform was by invite only.

One of the key things Twitter's ad platform offers over other advertising platforms is engagement, Weil said. "At Twitter we see people retweeting advertisers every single day," Weil said. "Impressions matter, but engagement matters far, far more."
