Get to know "Crowd Rules" expert Tom Szaky, who is the founder and chief executive of Terracycle, which converts collected waste into a wide variety of products and materials. Tom explains more about Terracycle and how it works.

Tom Szaky is the founder and chief executive of TerraCycle, one of the 500 fastest-­‐growing businesses in the United States. Tom is the author of the 2009 book Revolution in a Bottle, and regularly contributes to The New York Times' "You're the Boss" blog. Both Tom and TerraCycle have been featured on the National Geographic miniseries Garbage Moguls. Tom attended Princeton University, but left in his second year to work full time on TerraCycle. The company has since grown to encompass more than 100 employees in twenty-­‐two different countries, and has created hundreds of upcycled and recycled products.
