What Hedge Funds Are Doing with Gold

Thursday, 30 May 2013 | 4:11 PM ET

With gold popping up above $1,400 per ounce today, what have hedge funds been doing with gold?

That's the question Talking Numbers asked Anthony Scaramucci, Founder and Co-Managing Partner at SkyBridge Cpaital and a CNBC contributor.

SkyBridge manages over $7 billion and is also the organizer of the annual SALT Conference, one of the most important gatherings of fund managers in the world. Few people are more in tuned with what managed money is doing than Scaramucci.

In our interview, Scaramucci talks about how the Federal Reserve Bank uses the Taylor Rule to determine policy and what that means for the gold markets.

To hear what Scaramucci and other fund managers are doing with gold, watch the video above.

[Disclosures: Anthony Scaramucci may directly own gold. Funds managed by SkyBridge Capital may directly or indirectly own gold.]
