Intel to accelerate development of mobile chip
As the computing world moves away from the personal computer, top executives at Intel said Friday that the microprocessor company would speed up development and rollout of its Atom chips for mobile devices.
Intel is "cautious" on any television service and will continue to look at the business model, said CEO Brian Krzanich and President Renee James, who spoke to a small group of reporters.
Though the world's largest chipmaker leads the PC industry, it has been slow to adapt its product to smartphones and tablets.
