UPDATE 1-HP names ex-Microsoft software chief, 2 others to board
NEW YORK, July 15 (Reuters) - Hewlett-Packard Co on Monday appointed three new directors, including former Microsoft Corp software chief Raymond Ozzie, increasing its board size to 12 from nine.
The PC maker said it was continuing to search for more directors as well as a permanent nonexecutive chairman. Ralph Whitworth is currently chairman of the board on an interim basis.
The company, which Chief Executive Officer Meg Whitman is trying to turn around, also appointed Robert Bennett, former CEO of Liberty Media Corp, and James Skinner, currently the chairman of Walgreen Co and former CEO of McDonald's Corp.
Bennett will join HP's finance and investment committee and its audit committee, while Ozzie will join its technology committee and the finance and investment committee. Skinner will join committees governing audit, human resources and compensation, and governance.
