Wednesday, 28 Aug 2013 | 10:00 AM ET
Eamon Javers is CNBC's Washington correspondent based in the district full of secrets and even spies. In this "Unscripted," Javers shares his own spy story and reveals a long-held secret about his brush with the CIA.

File this one under, "so you think you know someone."

Eamon Javers, CNBC's Washington correspondent spends his days on Capitol Hill where it seems everyone has a secret.

Well, come to find out – he has his own secret, one he finally revealed about his encounter with the CIA.

Sounds like a plot line from a spy thriller, which is appropriate since Eamon has published his own spy novel, "Broker, Trader, Lawyer, Spy: The Secret World of Corporate Espionage." It's a novel that explores the roles of spies in the private sector.

CNBC's Brian Steel acting as our own secret agent, got Eamon to "come in from the cold" to share his story and his list of favorite spy novels for this latest edition of "Unscripted."
