Wedding Crunching the investment banks

The website Wedding Crunchers displays trends from The New York Times wedding announcements. The database tracks keywords from 1981 through 2013. I punched in the names of our biggest investment banks and came up with this chart.

Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch were very big deals in the wedding section. Both began to decline, however, in the mid-1990s, as Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch rose to prominence.

And poor Bear Stearns. It barely registers at all.

(Hat tip to RapGenius, which has produced a plethora of great charts from Wedding Crunchers.)
