Wal-Mart launches a discount offer for new iPhones

Consumers can get new iPhones at a discount at Wal-Mart and score an even better deal if they trade in their older models, Cnet has reported.

The retailer introduced an offer of $79 for the iPhone 5C ($20 dollars off standard retail) and $189 for the iPhone 5S ($10 off).Those prices require a two-year plan from any carrier, according to Cnet.

The phones go on sale Sept. 20. The 5C only will be available for preordering at Walmart stores this Friday.

Customers can get an extra benefit if they wait until Sept. 21 and bring their current phone to a Wal-Mart store to trade in for a 5C or 5S. The giant also offers discounts on previous iPhone models.
