JPMorgan close to reaching $800 million Whale fine settlement
JPMorgan Chase is close to reaching settlements of roughly $800 million in fines related to its London Whale trading loss to settle charges with regulators about shoddy supervision.
The regulators involved in the pending settlement include the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Reserve and the U.K.'s Financial Conduct Authority.
Investigations by the CFTC, the U.S. Justice Department and the New York State Attorney General continue and could result in additional fines.
