Mr. Dwi Soetjipto is the appointed President Director of PT Semen Indonesia since 2005. He has gained a considerable amount of experience in the cement industry, starting in 1981 when he joined PT Semen Padang. Appointed as R&D Director in 1995, he later became the President Director of Semen Padang in 2003. He successfully recovered Semen Padang from a serious conflict into a healthy and respectable company in the region.
Mr. Soetjipto earned his undergraduate degree from the Surabaya Institute of Technology in 1980, following with a Master's degree of Management from Andalas University with a "Cum Laude" predicate. He earned his PhD in Strategic Management from University of Indonesia in 2009, with a "high satisfaction" standard.

PT Semen Indonesia (previously known as PT Semen Gresik) is a government-owned cement producer with the highest cement production capacity in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Inaugurated back in 1957, the company is now a strategic holding company with 3 cement producer subsidiaries: PT Semen Padang, PT Semen Tonasa, and Thang Long Cement with total production capacity at 27.7 million tons. PT Semen Indonesia was the first government-owned company to go public in 1991, and also the first to go international in 2012 with the acquisition of Thang Long (TLCC) in Vietnam.Currently, PT Semen Indonesia has a domestic market share of 40.9%.
