Sold for: $235,000
Who built it: Neil Glassmoyer and Mark Goyette
Remember that sick red Ferrari that Ferris, Cameron and Sloane drove around on their famous day off ... that wasn't a real Ferrari. Neil Glassmoyer and Mark Goyette, built the three Ferrari replicas to be used in the film. Who would want to crash a real Ferrari through a glass window and into a ravine, right?
One of the three red replicas was recently sold at Mecum Auctions in Monterey, Calif. Glassmoyer bought the car back from Paramount after filming more than 25 years ago and restored it himself. He says this particular car was used in the famous jump scene in Chicago and it was also in the scene where Ferris throws his hat out on the highway. One lucky bidder took the car home for $235,000.
