Is Facebook's latest outage simply a PR black eye, or a bigger problem for the social media giant?

Facebook had a rough Monday morning.

The social network was hit with an intermittent outage that left some users unable to post status updates and "like" posts.

The company had no immediate comment on the outage, which had Twitter buzzing with complaints and jabs at the service.

Shortly after 11am EDT, the company said full service had been restored.
