After supporting heavy government surveillance by the federal administration, former National Security Agency Director Michael Hayden found out how eavesdropping feels when his conversation was live tweeted Thursday afternoon, MSNBC reported.

Liberal activist and Huffington Post contributor Tom Matzzie was sitting near Hayden on an Amtrak Acela train and MSNBC said Matzzie heard the former chief trying to give an anonymous phone interview to a reporter.
